Have you seen the latest Internet meme on the late Paul Walker, who, according to a story, one day walked into a shop to buy jewelry? He saw this young veteran who was also trying to choose which engagement ring to give his loved one. What Paul apparently did next astounded the guy: he asked the store manager to pay for the guy’s ring. For Paul, it’s a small price to shell out for a dutiful soldier protecting his country’s interest abroad. We don’t know what kind of engagement ring the man bought. It could be an A. Jaffe or another luxurious signature because the guy apparently had trouble deciding, perhaps overwhelmed by the price, which made Paul to step in. Kind deeds, indeed, speak volumes even after death.
A. Jaffe is available at Shreve & Co. in Portland, Oregon.
