In 1833, Antoine LeCoultre founded a small watchmaking workshop in Le Sentier, Switzerland where he used his horological skills to craft exceptional timepieces. He was awarded a gold metal for his work in developing the world’s most precise measuring instrument at the time, the Millionomètre. Since then, Jaeger-LeCoultre has established it reputation for innovative watchmaking. In fact, the company has produced over 1200 different calibres and registered over 400 patents since its inauguration.
Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre is still one of the only watch manufacturers in the world that creates the majority of its own watch movements in-house.
